Vancouver-based woodworker Rick Labrin designs and creates fine furniture and custom millwork as well as a variety of pieces for children, preschools and early childhood education. Each piece is made to order and can be customized or designed from the ground up to meet any specifications. Rick works with a wide variety of materials, from hardwoods to reclaimed lumber, and an array of finishes.
Free Hand Woodwork operates out of the Miller Goodwood Society. Miller Goodwood is an East Vancouver woodworkers’ co-operative where Rick is the co-op’s professional member, producing work in the co-op shop while also acting as a steward for the shop’s many hobbyist members. Miller Goodwood is a non-profit society promoting community, craft, and woodworking.
